Description
Easy and comforting creamy oven-baked chicken thighs with a rich garlic and Parmesan sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Sear the thighs in the skillet until golden brown on both sides, roughly 5 minutes for each side.
- Once browned, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook the mixture, allowing it to thicken slightly.
- Return the chicken thighs to the skillet, ensuring they are well-coated with the sauce.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a lighter sauce, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream. Allow the chicken to rest after searing for juiciness.
