Description
Enjoy juicy chicken thighs enveloped in a rich, creamy sauce with garlic, Parmesan cheese, and Italian herbs.
Ingredients
- 6 bone-in skinless chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano/thyme)
- ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or dill (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat the chicken thighs dry and season them generously with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the chicken thighs for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in the same skillet. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian herbs, allowing the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the chicken thighs to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or dill before serving.
Notes
Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes after baking for better moisture retention.
