Description

Enjoy juicy chicken thighs enveloped in a rich, creamy sauce with garlic, Parmesan cheese, and Italian herbs.

Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano/thyme)
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or dill (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season them generously with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the chicken thighs for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  6. Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in the same skillet. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian herbs, allowing the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Return the chicken thighs to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
  9. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  10. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or dill before serving.

Notes

Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes after baking for better moisture retention.
