Ingredients
- 8 ounces pasta (e.g., fettuccine or penne)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the diced tomatoes (with juices) to the skillet, stirring to combine. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream, salt, pepper, basil, and oregano. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Mix in the cooked pasta, tossing to coat evenly.
