Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts (sliced in half, horizontally)
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup Parmesan (grated)
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tbsp milk
- Oil (for frying)
- 4 Buns
- ½ head Romaine lettuce
- ¼ cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 garlic clove (grated)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp parmesan (grated)
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Make the Caesar dressing by combining mayonnaise or Greek yogurt, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, grated garlic, lemon juice or apple cider vinegar, and grated parmesan in a bowl. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Slice the chicken breasts horizontally into thin cutlets and pat them dry.
- Set up a breading station: one bowl with flour and salt, one with beaten eggs and milk, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with parmesan.
- Dredge each chicken cutlet in flour, dip in the egg mixture, and coat in breadcrumbs. Place on a baking cooling rack.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat (about 350 degrees).
- Fry the chicken cutlets for 2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Season with salt immediately after cooking.
- Toss the romaine lettuce with the prepared Caesar dressing.
- Assemble the sandwiches by layering each bun with crispy chicken and a scoop of Caesar salad mix.
- Optionally, toast the buns before assembling.
- Enjoy your sandwich with extra Caesar dressing if desired.
Notes
Allow the chicken to rest after frying for maximum juiciness.
