Description

Deliciously crispy chicken wings coated in a savory dry rub, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, separated into flats and drumettes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and place a wire rack on top.
  3. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl and toss with olive oil until evenly coated.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and baking powder.
  5. Sprinkle the dry rub mixture over the wings and toss until all wings are thoroughly coated.
  6. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate wings in olive oil and spices overnight. Adjust cayenne pepper for heat preference.
