Deliciously crispy chicken wings coated in a savory dry rub, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken wings, separated into flats and drumettes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and place a wire rack on top.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl and toss with olive oil until evenly coated.
- In a small bowl, mix together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and baking powder.
- Sprinkle the dry rub mixture over the wings and toss until all wings are thoroughly coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate wings in olive oil and spices overnight. Adjust cayenne pepper for heat preference.
