Description

A comforting and delicious crispy fried chicken recipe perfect for family gatherings and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1.4 kg Chicken (cut into pieces)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 237 mL Milk
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)
  • 5 mL Garlic Powder
  • 5 mL Seasoned Salt (optional)
  • 237 mL All-Purpose Flour
  • 473 mL Peanut Oil (or canola)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the eggs and milk. Mix well.
  2. In another bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, seasoned salt, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken piece in the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring all sides are coated.
  4. In a deep frying pan, heat the peanut oil (or canola) over medium-high heat.
  5. Once hot, carefully add the chicken pieces to the oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd.
  6. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally.
  7. Remove chicken and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy your crispy fried chicken.

Notes

Let the coated chicken rest for a few minutes before frying to help the coating adhere better. Fry in small batches to maintain a consistent oil temperature.
