Ingredients
- 1.4 kg Chicken (cut into pieces)
- 2 Eggs
- 237 mL Milk
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- 5 mL Garlic Powder
- 5 mL Seasoned Salt (optional)
- 237 mL All-Purpose Flour
- 473 mL Peanut Oil (or canola)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the eggs and milk. Mix well.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, seasoned salt, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken piece in the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring all sides are coated.
- In a deep frying pan, heat the peanut oil (or canola) over medium-high heat.
- Once hot, carefully add the chicken pieces to the oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd.
- Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Remove chicken and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot and enjoy your crispy fried chicken.
Notes
Let the coated chicken rest for a few minutes before frying to help the coating adhere better. Fry in small batches to maintain a consistent oil temperature.
