Ingredients
- 2 fresh, boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg (for binding)
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup hot honey sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp paprika or garlic powder (optional)
- 4 hamburger buns
- Preferred toppings (lettuce, tomato, etc.)
Instructions
- Pound chicken breasts to even thickness.
- Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with seasonings.
- Dip each chicken breast in flour, then egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat; fry each chicken breast for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer fried chicken to a cooling rack to drain excess oil.
- Assemble the burgers by placing chicken on buns and drizzling with hot honey; add desired toppings.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider double coating the chicken with breadcrumbs. Marinating the chicken beforehand can enhance flavor.
