Description

A delightful and comforting dish featuring golden-brown chicken breasts topped with ham and Swiss cheese, all wrapped in a crispy coating.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup honey mustard sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying (if pan-frying)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and then coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and pan-fry the chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Alternatively, place the breaded chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Place a slice of ham and cheese on top of each chicken breast.
  6. Drizzle honey mustard sauce over the top before serving.
