Description

A simple and flavorful slow-cooked chicken dish, perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of your crock pot.
  2. Add the minced garlic, and sprinkle salt, pepper, brown sugar, and Italian seasoning over the chicken.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the soy sauce and cream of chicken soup until smooth. Pour this mixture over the seasoned chicken.
  4. Cover the crock pot and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and serve it warm over rice or pasta.

Notes

For best results, cook on low for the full 8 hours to maximize flavor absorption. You can add vegetables like carrots or peas for extra nutrition.
