A simple and flavorful slow-cooked chicken dish, perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of your crock pot.
- Add the minced garlic, and sprinkle salt, pepper, brown sugar, and Italian seasoning over the chicken.
- In a separate bowl, mix the soy sauce and cream of chicken soup until smooth. Pour this mixture over the seasoned chicken.
- Cover the crock pot and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and serve it warm over rice or pasta.
Notes
For best results, cook on low for the full 8 hours to maximize flavor absorption. You can add vegetables like carrots or peas for extra nutrition.
