Description
A comforting and creamy chicken dish made easy with a slow cooker, perfect for family gatherings and weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 3 cloves garlic (chopped or left whole)
- 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup
- 3/4 cup chicken stock
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1/4 cup butter
- 0.6 ounces Italian dressing mix
- 1 pound angel hair pasta
Instructions
- Spray the inside of the crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
- Add the chicken breasts to the bottom of the crockpot.
- Sprinkle in the garlic.
- Soften the butter and cream cheese in the microwave for easy mixing.
- Whisk them together until smooth.
- Gradually add the cream of chicken soup, mixing well.
- Mix in the Italian dressing mix and chicken stock, whisking until combined.
- Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken breasts.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
- OPTIONAL: About 30 minutes before cooking time is finished, shred the chicken and mix it back into the sauce.
- Just before serving, cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions, then drain.
- Serve the tender chicken over the cooked pasta.
Notes
For added flavor, consider using high-quality chicken and experimenting with the type of pasta. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
