Description

A comforting and creamy chicken dish made easy with a slow cooker, perfect for family gatherings and weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 3 cloves garlic (chopped or left whole)
  • 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup
  • 3/4 cup chicken stock
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 0.6 ounces Italian dressing mix
  • 1 pound angel hair pasta


Instructions

  1. Spray the inside of the crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Sprinkle in the garlic.
  4. Soften the butter and cream cheese in the microwave for easy mixing.
  5. Whisk them together until smooth.
  6. Gradually add the cream of chicken soup, mixing well.
  7. Mix in the Italian dressing mix and chicken stock, whisking until combined.
  8. Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken breasts.
  9. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  10. OPTIONAL: About 30 minutes before cooking time is finished, shred the chicken and mix it back into the sauce.
  11. Just before serving, cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions, then drain.
  12. Serve the tender chicken over the cooked pasta.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using high-quality chicken and experimenting with the type of pasta. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
