A creamy, flavorful slow-cooked dish featuring tender chicken breasts and a rich sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped or left whole
- 10.5 ounces of cream of chicken soup
- 3/4 cup of chicken stock
- 4 ounces of cream cheese
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 0.6 ounces of Italian dressing mix
- 1 pound of angel hair pasta
Instructions
- Spray the inside of the crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
- Lay the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot and add the garlic.
- Soften the butter and cream cheese in the microwave.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the butter and cream cheese until silky.
- Incorporate the cream of chicken soup, followed by the Italian dressing mix and chicken stock; whisk until well combined.
- Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
- Optional: Shred the chicken with two forks 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve over cooked angel hair pasta and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for added flavor.
