Description

A comforting and flavorful dish of tender beef and fresh broccoli cooked in a savory sauce, perfect for busy schedules.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tsp ginger (grated)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Cooked rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef into thin strips.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  3. Place the beef in the crock pot and pour the sauce over it.
  4. Cook on low for 4-5 hours or until beef is tender.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, add the broccoli florets.
  6. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water until smooth and stir into the crock pot to thicken the sauce.
  7. Serve over cooked rice.

Notes

For deeper flavors, consider marinating the beef for an hour before cooking. Adjust brown sugar based on your sweetness preference.
