Ingredients
- Oil or ghee
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons ginger and garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- Salt, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 can diced or crushed tomatoes
- 2 pounds chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup cream
- Red pepper flakes (optional)

- Fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Heat oil or ghee in a skillet and sauté the diced onion until translucent.
- Add ginger and garlic paste, spices (smoked paprika, cumin, turmeric, and salt), and garam masala, cooking for a few minutes to release flavors.
- Combine the sautéed ingredients with diced or crushed tomatoes and chicken thighs in a crockpot.
- Cook on low for 360-480 minutes or on high for 180-240 minutes.
- Stir in unsalted butter and cream for richness during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
