Description

A simple and flavorful crockpot chicken taco meat recipe made with just three ingredients, perfect for busy evenings.

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 4 Tbsp homemade taco seasoning
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breast in the slow cooker.
  2. Top with taco seasoning, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  3. Pour the chicken broth over the chicken.
  4. Cook on high for 180-240 minutes or low for 360-480 minutes until the chicken is tender.
  5. Remove the chicken and place it in a large bowl.
  6. Shred the chicken using two forks or a stand mixer for easy shredding.
  7. Stir in the reserved crockpot juices, then mix in 1/2 cup of these into the shredded chicken.

Notes

Consider making your own taco seasoning for a fresher taste. Store leftovers in an airtight container, and reheat gently over low heat.
