Description

A hearty and delicious dish combining tender chicken, creamy cheese, and zesty salsa, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 to 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Tortilla chips, for serving
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, cilantro, sour cream, jalapeƱos, and green onions

Instructions

  1. Add the chicken, cream cheese, salsa, and taco seasoning to your crockpot. Mix well to ensure the chicken is coated.
  2. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours.
  3. Once the chicken is tender, shred it with forks and stir everything together until thoroughly combined.
  4. Add cheddar cheese and mix until melted and creamy.
  5. Spoon the delightful mixture over tortilla chips and add your choice of toppings. Serve hot!

Notes

Sear the chicken briefly before adding to enhance flavor. Experiment with different salsas for varying spice levels.
