Description

A convenient and flavorful dish made with tender chicken thighs cooked in a sweet and tangy orange sauce, perfect for stress-free dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in the crockpot and pour the orange sauce over the chicken.
  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Once cooked, remove the chicken and shred it with two forks.
  5. Mix the cornstarch with water and stir it into the sauce in the crockpot. Cook for an additional 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir to coat.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Use chicken thighs for juiciness and tenderness. Adjust the sweetness by reducing honey for a more tart flavor. Garnish generously for added crunch.
