Ingredients
- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned, drained)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by placing the chicken breasts in the bottom of your crockpot.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix together the barbecue sauce, pineapple chunks, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder in a medium bowl.
- Pour the pineapple BBQ sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Shred the chicken using two forks once cooked.
- Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot and mix it with the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped green onions.
