Effortlessly delicious meatballs cooked in a savory pineapple teriyaki sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can pineapple chunks (optional, for serving)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, green onions, egg, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs and place them in the crockpot.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Pour the sauce over the meatballs in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the meatballs are cooked through.
- Serve the meatballs with pineapple chunks if desired and garnish with sesame seeds.
Notes
For added flavor, you can sear the meatballs before placing them in the crockpot.
