Description

Effortlessly delicious meatballs cooked in a savory pineapple teriyaki sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can pineapple chunks (optional, for serving)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, green onions, egg, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small meatballs and place them in the crockpot.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Pour the sauce over the meatballs in the crockpot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the meatballs are cooked through.
  5. Serve the meatballs with pineapple chunks if desired and garnish with sesame seeds.

Notes

For added flavor, you can sear the meatballs before placing them in the crockpot.
