A comforting casserole made with layers of crushed Doritos, creamy chicken, and melted cheese, perfect for chilly evenings and family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 (10 oz) bag nacho cheese Doritos, crushed
- 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10 oz) Rotel, drained
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish lightly.
- In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, Rotel, 1 cup of shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spread half of the crushed Doritos into the bottom of the baking dish.
- Spoon the chicken mixture evenly over the Doritos layer.
- Top with remaining crushed Doritos and sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped green onions if desired and serve hot.
Notes
For added flavor, consider using a mix of cheeses such as pepper jack or Monterey jack. Customize with your favorite spices or veggies.
