Description

A creamy and flavorful chicken dish that cooks effortlessly in a slow cooker, making it perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Whisk together the chicken broth, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, garlic, oregano, thyme, and red pepper flakes until smooth.
  3. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Pour the cream mixture evenly over the chicken.
  5. Scatter sun-dried tomatoes over the top.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 240–300 minutes or HIGH for 120–180 minutes.
  7. Stir in the butter thirty minutes before serving to enrich and thicken the sauce.
  8. Sprinkle fresh basil or parsley over the top before serving.

Notes

For added depth of flavor, consider sautéing the minced garlic in butter before adding it to the slow cooker.
