Delicious and simple oven-baked chicken drumsticks with crispy skin and juicy meat.
Ingredients
- 6 chicken drumsticks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or salt to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, ground mustard, and dried parsley flakes. Mix until well blended.
- Pat the chicken drumsticks dry using a paper towel.
- Add the drumsticks to the bowl containing the seasoning mixture. Toss thoroughly until each piece is well coated in the seasoning.
- Place the drumsticks on the prepared sheet pan, ensuring they’re spaced apart and not touching.
- Bake the drumsticks for 40–45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit, and the skin appears golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy with your favorite sides.
Notes
For extra crispiness, consider broiling the drumsticks for the last few minutes of cooking.
