Description

Delicious and simple oven-baked chicken drumsticks with crispy skin and juicy meat.


Ingredients

  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or salt to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, ground mustard, and dried parsley flakes. Mix until well blended.
  2. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry using a paper towel.
  3. Add the drumsticks to the bowl containing the seasoning mixture. Toss thoroughly until each piece is well coated in the seasoning.
  4. Place the drumsticks on the prepared sheet pan, ensuring they’re spaced apart and not touching.
  5. Bake the drumsticks for 40–45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit, and the skin appears golden and crispy.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy with your favorite sides.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider broiling the drumsticks for the last few minutes of cooking.
