Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving
  • Green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sugar, garlic, and ginger to create the teriyaki sauce.
  2. In another small bowl, mix cornstarch with a little water to make a slurry.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
