Ingredients

  • – 2 cups (475 ml) frozen vegetables
  • – 1 ½ cups (355 ml) cooked chopped beef
  • – 10.5 ounces (300 g) condensed cream of chicken soup (1 can, 10.5 oz / 300 g each)
  • – 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) poultry seasoning
  • – salt and pepper to taste
  • – ¾ cup (180 ml) beef broth, divided
  • – 1 cup (120 g) biscuit mix (such as bisquick)
  • – 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350°F to preheat.
  2. In a deep 9-inch pie pan, mix together the frozen vegetables, chopped beef, condensed cream of chicken soup, ¼ cup of beef broth, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, blend the biscuit mix with the egg and the remaining ½ cup of beef broth. Use a fork to mix and then drizzle this over the beef mixture.
  4. Place in the oven and bake without covering for 30 minutes or until it turns a light golden brown.

Notes

  • Consider enhancing the flavor by using a seasoned biscuit mix or adding herbs like thyme or rosemary to the biscuit dough.
  • Serve with a side salad or steamed greens to complement the richness of the dish.
  • For a thicker consistency, adjust the amount of beef broth in the biscuit mix or add a tablespoon of cornstarch to the beef filling before baking.
