A simple and flavorful slow cooker dish featuring chicken simmered in cream cheese and ranch seasoning, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- ½ cup green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the crock pot.
- Sprinkle the ranch seasoning over the chicken.
- Add the cream cheese on top of the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once done, shred the chicken with two forks and mix in the cooking liquid.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon until melted.
- Garnish with green onions and serve on buns, in wraps, or over rice.
Notes
For a zesty kick, consider adding diced jalapeños or hot sauce before cooking.
