Ingredients
- – 1 1/2-2 pounds (680-907 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- – 1 medium onion, chopped
- – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil
- – 2 teaspoons (4 g) dried parsley
- – 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) seasoned salt
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 g) poultry seasoning
- – 1/4 teaspoon (1 g) garlic powder
- – 2 cups (480 ml) chicken broth
- – 2 cans or boxes cream of chicken soup
- – 8-10 canned, REGULAR size, biscuits
Instructions
- Position the chicken at the base of the crockpot, adding the chopped onion and vegetable oil. Sprinkle over with the dried parsley, seasoned salt, poultry seasoning, and garlic powder.
- Pour in the chicken broth and cream of chicken soup, then mix everything together thoroughly. Secure the lid and set the crockpot to cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours.
- Once the cooking time is complete, take off the lid and use a spoon or fork to break the chicken into smaller pieces.
- Cut the biscuits into quarters and place them in the crockpot. Gently press the biscuit pieces down so they can soak up the gravy as they cook.
- Cover again and let it cook for another 1-2 hours on high until the biscuits are fully cooked and acquire a golden hue. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Consider using chicken thighs for a richer, more tender flavor.
- Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or paprika for a spicy kick.
- Opt for homemade biscuits for a fresher, personalized touch.
