Ingredients

  • 11 oz chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon paprika (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (divided)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ½ cup sparkling water
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • 4 cups frying oil (like sunflower oil)


Instructions

  1. Chop the chicken into a purée.
  2. Mix puréed chicken with half the paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into nuggets and freeze for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat frying oil in a pan until it reaches 355°F/180°C.
  5. In another bowl, mix flour with remaining paprika, garlic powder, cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  6. Dredge nuggets in the flour mixture until coated.
  7. Add sparkling water to flour mix to create a batter.
  8. Dredge nuggets in the batter.
  9. Fry nuggets for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
  10. Pat dry with paper towels and serve.
