Description
Deliciously crispy chicken wings coated in rich garlic butter, perfect for gatherings and weeknight meals.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs (900 g) chicken wings (drumettes and flats separated, tips removed)
- 2 tsp aluminum-free baking powder
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for added heat)
- ½ stick (57 g) unsalted butter
- 2 Tbsp minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line your half-sheet baking pan with parchment paper.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels, ensuring you remove any excess moisture for a crispy end result.
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with baking powder, kosher salt, onion powder, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes if you choose to add some heat.
- Arrange the wings on the prepared sheet pan, leaving space between each piece for even cooking.
- Bake the wings for 30 minutes, then flip them and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until they turn a beautiful golden color.
- While the wings bake, prepare the garlic butter sauce by melting the unsalted butter in a small saucepan. Add minced garlic and chopped parsley; stir until well combined.
- Once the wings are done, place them in a large bowl and toss with the garlic butter sauce until every wing is evenly coated. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider marinating the wings in the dry seasoning for a couple of hours before cooking. Serve with dipping sauces like ranch or blue cheese.
