Transform ordinary chicken into a juicy, flavorful feast with this Easy Greek Chicken Marinade, capturing the vibrant essence of Mediterranean cuisine.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken (thighs, breasts, or drumsticks)
- 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a small bowl or mason jar, combine the Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Whisk or shake well until all the ingredients mingle.
- Place 2 pounds of chicken into a large zip-top bag or shallow dish.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal the bag or cover the dish, and massage gently.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours for deeper flavor.
- When ready, remove the chicken from the marinade and grill, bake, or sauté to golden perfection.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
