Description

A quick and flavorful sesame chicken dish that elevates ordinary dinners with minimal prep and maximum taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper to make a marinade.
  2. Add the cubed chicken to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook for about 7-10 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and cook for another minute.
  6. Serve with sliced green onions as a garnish. Enjoy your healthy takeout style sesame chicken!

Notes

Marinate the chicken for longer than 30 minutes if time allows for deeper flavor. You can also add vegetables to the pan during the last few minutes of cooking.
