Ingredients
- 4 pieces skinless chicken breasts or thighs, boneless
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken stock (warm)
- 4 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Caramelized onions (for garnish, optional)
- Shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese (optional topping)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add two tablespoons of butter and let it melt until bubbling.
- Season the chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Place the chicken in the skillet and sear for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the warm chicken stock and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the remaining two tablespoons of butter, honey, and dried parsley, blending well.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it is coated with the sauce, and let it cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
- Garnish with caramelized onions and sprinkle shredded cheese on top before serving if desired.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, let it reduce slightly. Adjust honey to suit your taste preferences.
