Description

A simple yet rich butter chicken dish inspired by Texas Roadhouse, featuring tender chicken in a buttery garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces skinless chicken breasts or thighs, boneless
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken stock (warm)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Caramelized onions (for garnish, optional)
  • Shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add two tablespoons of butter and let it melt until bubbling.
  3. Season the chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  4. Place the chicken in the skillet and sear for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  6. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the warm chicken stock and bring to a simmer.
  8. Stir in the remaining two tablespoons of butter, honey, and dried parsley, blending well.
  9. Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it is coated with the sauce, and let it cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
  10. Garnish with caramelized onions and sprinkle shredded cheese on top before serving if desired.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, let it reduce slightly. Adjust honey to suit your taste preferences.
