Ingredients
- 4 pounds bone-in chicken pieces
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Sear the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until translucent.
- Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any brown bits from the skillet.
- Add heavy cream and thyme, then stir to combine.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it’s submerged in the sauce.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45-60 minutes until chicken is tender and falls off the bone.
