Description

A quick and satisfying one-pan meal featuring juicy chicken and crisp-tender broccoli in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Sauté for 5-6 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Add 1/4 cup of water and broccoli florets to the pan. Cover and steam for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Discard excess water, then reduce heat to medium-low and melt the butter.
  5. Stir in minced garlic and cook until aromatic.
  6. Add soy sauce and lemon juice, mixing well with garlic butter.
  7. Toss in red pepper flakes if desired for heat.
  8. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and combine with the sauce.
  9. Gently fold in steamed broccoli and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  10. Serve warm, garnished with sesame seeds and parsley, alongside rice or pasta.

Notes

Use high-quality chicken and fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Adjust steaming time for broccoli to retain crispness.
