Ingredients
- 1 pound (454 g) chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces (450 grams)
- 3 tablespoon (45 ml) s unsalted butter (42 grams)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) grated Parmesan cheese (50 grams)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Italian seasoning
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil (15 milliliters)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream (120 milliliters)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) red pepper flakes (optional )
Instructions
- Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides.
- Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes, if using.
- Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken and stir well.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine.
- Let the sauce simmer until it thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in chopped parsley and basil.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve the chicken bites hot with the creamy herb sauce.
