A delightful and crunchy coleslaw featuring green and purple cabbages, grated carrots, and a creamy dressing, perfect for summer barbecues and casual family dinners.
Ingredients
- 3 cups green cabbage, finely shredded
- 2 cups purple cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 cup carrots, grated
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- ½ tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp celery seed
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, sugar, celery seed, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Thinly slice the green cabbage and purple cabbage, then grate the carrots.
- Add the prepared vegetables to a large bowl and toss them with the dressing until fully coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to develop.
Notes
To maintain the crunchiness, add the dressing just before serving if preparing in advance.
