Description

A delightful and crunchy coleslaw featuring green and purple cabbages, grated carrots, and a creamy dressing, perfect for summer barbecues and casual family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups green cabbage, finely shredded
  • 2 cups purple cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, grated
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • ½ tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp celery seed
  • Salt and black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, sugar, celery seed, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Thinly slice the green cabbage and purple cabbage, then grate the carrots.
  3. Add the prepared vegetables to a large bowl and toss them with the dressing until fully coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to develop.

Notes

To maintain the crunchiness, add the dressing just before serving if preparing in advance.
