Description

A delectable Greek dish featuring tender chicken breasts marinated in zesty lemon juice, fragrant garlic, and creamy feta cheese.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Juice of 2 large lemons
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl and whisk until well mixed.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated.
  4. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese on top of the chicken.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Remove the dish from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider marinating the chicken overnight. Try adding seasonal vegetables roasted in the same marinade.
