Description

Juicy and tender chicken tenders marinated in a vibrant blend of Greek yogurt, lemon, and herbs, perfect for grilling, baking, or pan-searing.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken tenders (or sliced chicken breast)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced or grated
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin (optional, for depth)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or dill (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your marinade by combining Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, oregano, salt, black pepper, and ground cumin in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
  2. Add the chicken tenders into the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated.
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight for best flavor.
  4. Choose your cooking method: grill, pan-sear, or bake the marinated chicken tenders.
  5. If grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Cook the tenders for about 6-7 minutes per side, until thoroughly cooked and golden brown.
  6. If pan-searing, heat a skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil, and cook the tenders for about 6-7 minutes on each side.
  7. If baking, preheat your oven to 400°F. Arrange the tenders on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Let the chicken rest briefly before serving.

Notes

Marinate the chicken longer for deeper flavor; try using fresh herbs for added zest.
