Description
Juicy and tender chicken tenders marinated in a vibrant blend of Greek yogurt, lemon, and herbs, perfect for grilling, baking, or pan-searing.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs chicken tenders (or sliced chicken breast)
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest
- 3 garlic cloves, minced or grated
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin (optional, for depth)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or dill (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare your marinade by combining Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, oregano, salt, black pepper, and ground cumin in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
- Add the chicken tenders into the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight for best flavor.
- Choose your cooking method: grill, pan-sear, or bake the marinated chicken tenders.
- If grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Cook the tenders for about 6-7 minutes per side, until thoroughly cooked and golden brown.
- If pan-searing, heat a skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil, and cook the tenders for about 6-7 minutes on each side.
- If baking, preheat your oven to 400°F. Arrange the tenders on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- Let the chicken rest briefly before serving.
Notes
Marinate the chicken longer for deeper flavor; try using fresh herbs for added zest.
