Description

A flavorful Greek Lemon Chicken dish marinated in zesty lemon, garlic, and aromatic herbs, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, honey (if using), salt, and pepper in a bowl and whisk to combine.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish or resealable bag and pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well-coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium heat and add a little olive oil.
  4. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, until fully cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. Garnish the cooked chicken with fresh parsley and serve with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

Ensure your grill is hot before adding the chicken for the best sear. Marinating longer enhances flavor.
