Description

A simple and flavorful slow cooker chicken dish with vibrant green sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup salsa verde
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish


Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix salsa verde, diced onion, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the salsa mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks and mix it back into the sauce.
