Description
Tender chicken thighs marinated in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, grilled to perfection on skewers.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 1/4 cup sake
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- Green onions, cut for garnishing

Instructions
- Soak the skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to simmer for about 10 minutes, until slightly thickened.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the chicken pieces onto the skewers.
- Brush the skewers with the teriyaki sauce and grill for about 5 minutes on each side, basting with more sauce until cooked through.
- Garnish with green onions and serve with extra teriyaki sauce.
Notes
Experiment with adding vegetables like bell peppers or onions in between chicken for added variety.
