Description

Light and delicious grilled ground chicken burgers that are a healthier twist on traditional beef burgers, perfect for family gatherings or casual meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (regular or gluten-free)
  • 1/4 cup grated onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Burger buns
  • Favorite toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, cheese)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, oregano, salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into four evenly sized patties, about 1/2-inch thick, making a slight indentation in the center.
  3. Chill the patties in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and oil the grates.
  5. Grill the burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Allow the burgers to rest for 2 minutes before serving on buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For added flavor, try incorporating fresh herbs or vegetables like grated zucchini into the mix. Allowing the patties to rest after grilling will help keep them juicy.
