A vibrant take on street tacos featuring marinated carne asada, warm corn tortillas, and fresh toppings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Carne asada (beef)
- 8 Corn tortillas
- 1/2 cup Fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 cup Onions, diced
- 1 Lime, cut into wedges
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 2 tbsp Oil for cooking
Instructions
- Marinate the carne asada with salt, pepper, and your choice of marinade for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over high heat and add oil.
- Sear the marinated carne asada for about 3-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking.
- Remove from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Warm the corn tortillas in the skillet until pliable.
- Serve the sliced carne asada in the tortillas, topped with fresh cilantro, onions, and a squeeze of lime.
Notes
For the best flavor, allow the meat to rest before slicing. Experiment with different marinades to find your favorite.
