Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Cheddar cheese
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Pickles
- Pickled onion
- Mayo or BBQ sauce
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and paprika.
- Mix the ingredients using your hands until the seasonings are evenly distributed.
- Flatten the chicken mixture in the bowl and score it into four evenly-sized sections.
- Shape each section into a patty, forming a small crater in one side to prevent shrinkage.
- Place the patties in the hot skillet, making sure to leave space between them.
- Cook each side for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Transfer the patties to a baking sheet and top with cheddar cheese. Cover loosely with foil or parchment to allow the cheese to melt.
- Toast hamburger buns under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve the burgers with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
Notes
For best results, flip the burgers only once during cooking and use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
