Description

A quick and flavorful dish combining ground turkey and colorful bell peppers, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Cooked rice, lettuce wraps, or taco shells for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion turns translucent.
  3. Incorporate the ground turkey, cooking until it browns and is cooked through.
  4. Stir in the chopped bell peppers, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the peppers become tender.
  5. Serve over rice, in lettuce wraps, or as a taco filling.

Notes

For added flavor, utilize fresh spices and consider toasting them briefly in the pan before cooking the turkey.
