A delicious Hawaiian Style Teriyaki Chicken with a sweet and savory marinade, grilled to perfection and served with pineapple, rice, and steamed vegetables.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs or breasts
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- Pineapple slices for grilling
- Cooked rice for serving
- Steamed vegetables for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
- Marinate the chicken in the teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.
- Preheat your grill or oven.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until cooked through.
- Grill pineapple slices for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Serve the chicken with cooked rice, steamed vegetables, and grilled pineapple slices.
Notes
For added flavor, baste chicken with leftover marinade during cooking. Use fresh herbs as garnish for extra freshness.
