A flavorful and easy dish that combines tender chicken breasts with sweet teriyaki sauce and juicy pineapple, all cooked in a slow cooker for a tropical dining experience.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (canned or fresh)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon ginger (freshly grated or ground)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups cooked rice
- Optional: green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, pineapple chunks, soy sauce, ginger, and brown sugar until well combined.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken in the sauce and mix until evenly coated.
- Serve the chicken over cooked rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
For added texture, add pineapple chunks halfway through cooking. Adjust the amount of ginger to taste.
