Description

A flavorful and healthy take on orange chicken, combining tender chicken breast with a sweet and tangy orange sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour the orange sauce over the chicken and stir to combine.
  5. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Use freshly squeezed orange juice for the best flavor. Ensure to not overcrowd the skillet for even cooking.
