Description

A comforting and hearty dish featuring tender chicken and fluffy dumplings simmered in rich chicken broth, perfect for chilly evenings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chicken broth and bring it to a boil.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually stir in the milk until a thick dough forms.
  3. Once the broth is boiling, drop spoonfuls of the dumpling dough into the pot and reduce the heat to a simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Add the shredded chicken into the pot and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  5. Stir in the chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Use high-quality chicken broth for the best flavor. Consider adding vegetables for a complete meal.
