Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken wings
- 3 Tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- Cooking spray
- ¼ cup barbecue sauce
- 3 Tablespoons honey
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon orange juice
- 1 Tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- Chopped parsley (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Pat dry all the chicken wings using a paper towel.
- Mix the cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large, shallow bowl.
- Toss the chicken wings in the seasoning mixture, ensuring they coat thoroughly.
- Apply cooking spray evenly on the wings.
- Place the wings in the air fryer basket. Cook for 9 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 9 minutes.
- Check that the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit upon completion.
- Combine the barbecue sauce, honey, brown sugar, orange juice, ketchup, and soy sauce in a medium-sized saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
- Toss the chicken wings in the honey barbecue sauce until fully coated.
