Ingredients
- 800 g (1.76 lbs) Boneless chicken thighs or chicken tenders
- 2/3 cup (80 g) Flour
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) Black pepper
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Garlic powder
- 3 tablespoon (45 ml) Olive oil or vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) Honey
- 100 g (7 tbsp) Beef unsalted
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) Light soy sauce
Instructions
- In a spacious bowl or on a wide plate, combine the flour, kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Place the chicken pieces into the flour blend, ensuring they are thoroughly covered.
- In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat and fry the chicken on each side until it reaches a crispy, golden-brown color.
- Take the chicken out of the skillet and set it aside on a plate while preparing the sauce.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Stir continuously and let it cook for roughly 2 minutes until it starts to bubble.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, stirring well so that the sauce fully coats the chicken. Allow it to cook for another minute to ensure the sauce adheres to the chicken. Serve while hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Marinate the chicken in soy sauce, minced garlic, and a splash of olive oil for enhanced flavor before coating in flour.
- Use unsalted butter to regulate the dish’s saltiness.
- Opt for baking the coated chicken in the oven for a healthier alternative to frying.
