Description

Quick and flavorful honey garlic chicken bites that transform a busy evening into a delightful family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch (optional)
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium chicken stock
  • 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional, Sriracha recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Toss the chicken breast cubes in a bowl with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Heat olive oil and unsalted butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken cubes to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Once cooked, reduce the heat and add the minced garlic. Stir continuously for about 30 seconds, ensuring the garlic becomes fragrant without burning.
  5. Pour in the honey, chicken stock, lemon juice, and hot sauce if desired. Stir everything to coat the chicken well.
  6. Let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and adhere to the chicken.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken before cooking. Adjust hot sauce and chili flakes to taste for desired spiciness.
